Jai Hind! ISI or the Inter Services Intelligence of Pakistan is the shadow organisation that runs Pakistan from behind the scenes. How did this organisation become what it is today and what kind of power does it yield today. It controls the country through threats and intimidation and has a large role to play within the politics of the country. the recent clash between Imran Khan and the Army Chief Gen Bajwa on the appointment of the DG ISI is a keen example of the importance of the power that ISI holds. The USA in the 80s used this organisation for the purpose of driving out the Soviet forces in Afghanistan and to a time ow when the agency has a strong control over these irregular forces. These groups are also used against India as we are all aware.
