He has deep knowledge, understanding and experience in successful defence planning and acquisition, spanning over a decade. Now a Professor in the Aerospace Department of Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and a strategic thinker who has written more than 200 articles on various issues.
General Satish Dua, PVSM, UYSM, SM, VSM. He served as Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to the Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC). Gen Dua was the Commander 15 Corps looking after the LOC against Pakistan. Today he writes about various strategic subjects concerning the armed forces of the nation.
Gen Shankar: Covid situation is pretty bad in India and it will have a lasting impact on the geopolitics of the world and the region itself. Taking China into consideration how do you access the situation now and going forward Keeping in mind the dependence on China?
Gen Dua: On a similar thought line how would you see the relations with Pakistan taking shape in the future considering the ongoing ceasefire?
Gen Shankar: How do you see the immediate region in countries like Bangladesh, Nepal Myanmar with the coup and most importantly Afghanistan getting an impact.
Gen Dua: Our relations with the USA have been much in debate and still is. With a latest news that talks about 2 aircraft full of shipment delayed because of “maintenance issues” and the stopping of the vaccine raw material resulting in the shortage of vaccines that we see. How do you see things going forward? Are there some steps we can take to strengthen our position?
